Alan Cannell started out in the 60's supporting many well-known artists; like: Gene Vincent and Van Morrison.

A sought-after session guitarist. He has played on BBC Country Club; performed through-out Europe; and played pedal steel and guitar on well acclaimed tours with American legends Jean Shepard, Jeannie Seely, Jan Howard, Cleve Francis and the late Skeeter Davis.

He formed the country band Stealer and played nationwide, as well as performing in all the region's theatres.

More recently, he has composed music for a relaxation tape, library music and themes for ITV and BBC. In 2006, he formed the 50's and 60's Rock 'n' Roll band - Shake Rattle 'n' Roll.
